IN2 the Realm – Rehearsal Recap

Chris and I were back at it last night, tucked away in the old camp hall for another IN2 the Realm rehearsal. Even though it was freezing outside, I'd accidentally left the heating on from earlier in the day… so we walked into a nicely warmed room. Small wins!

We spent the evening working through a bunch of songs we're looking to add to the IN2 the Realm set list. I'd normally have grabbed some video, but of course I managed to leave the SD card at home — classic Ollie move — so no footage this time.

That said, the session itself was brilliant. We dug into:

• Heaven – Bryan Adams
• Can't Help Falling in Love – Elvis Presley
• Shallow – Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper
• Livin' on a Prayer – Bon Jovi
• Yellow – Coldplay
• A bit of Let Loose, which we're shaping into a medley
• Watermelon Sugar – Harry Styles
• Ain't No Sunshine – Bill Withers
• And some Myles Smith, which is sounding great for the acoustic vibe

At this rate, our set list is sitting at roughly 30 solid songs, and the aim is to build that up to 100 songs we can pull from with just a quick polish. It's exciting seeing how quickly this is coming together.

On the personal side… the jaw is still slightly out after being whacked (cheers, son!), so singing was interesting. My teeth still don't line up properly when I close my mouth, so it's down to a lot of exercises over the next few weeks. Not perfect, but we powered through.

All in all, a cold night, a toasty hall, loads of progress, and we're up early again today keeping the momentum going. IN2 the Realm is taking shape — and we're loving it.
